About
The sound
999999999 is an Italian techno duo whose project began in 2016. Their live approach centres on hardware and improvisation, allowing the music to develop during a performance rather than relying on a fixed sequence. They established NineTimesNine as a home for their releases, initially working with vinyl twelve-inches before expanding into digital releases and records by other artists in 2020. Their early catalogue includes 300000003, released through Planet Rhythm in 2018. The duo also developed the 9x9 Invites format to bring other performers into their musical world. More recent recordings include I Got Acid with Marie Vaunt, No Limit with FLKN and Trip On Acid with LYNSY. Their official music profile brings original productions, label releases and recorded DJ sets together, while retaining the nine-digit name as one shared artist identity.
