About

The sound

Adassiya is a French singer, DJ and producer who brings her voice into an electronic-music practice. She began performing as a teenager, worked with Warner and took part in the musical Les 10 Commandements before developing as a songwriter and electronic artist. Her music draws on organic and Afro-house rhythms, with vocals remaining an important part of both her recordings and hybrid live sets. La Vida was an early EP, followed by Rebirth and later releases including Delali and Mektoub. Her collaborations include By Myself with Chris IDH, while her catalogue also contains Taki Dana, Bailemos and Runaway featuring Tanya Michelle. She founded Mektoub Records and has continued releasing music such as Amar and Headlights. Her official video archive pairs these tracks with filmed performances, including a hybrid set at Moga, showing how her singing and DJ work meet within the same performance.
