About
The sound
Afshin Momadi is a DJ and producer whose creative work brings electronic music, fashion and visual presentation together. He founded Motherland and has worked across music and design, including the earlier 9N1M SENSE label with Inan Batman. The pair also created IAM, a shared electronic-music project combining house rhythms, Afro-influenced elements and melodic production. IAM’s recordings include Dunya, Revelation and Love. Momadi’s solo catalogue is distinct from that project and includes Sayam, Honeyland, How Far and Euphoria. Like That, a collaboration with Luciano, appeared on MOATA in September 2025, followed in his catalogue by the Neverland EP. He has also collaborated with Kiko Franco on a remix of The Stockholm Syndrome. These releases sit alongside his broader interest in clothing and visual storytelling, while his public channels retain both solo material and the earlier IAM recordings as parts of his creative history.
