About

The sound

Ahmed Spins is a DJ and producer from Casablanca whose music draws on Afro house, deep house and organic influences. He played piano, guitar and drums before discovering electronic music, and began working with production software while studying in Boston. Artists such as Flume and Rampa helped inform that early direction. His recordings include Sawa featuring Idd Aziz, followed by the Anchor Point EP on MoBlack Records in 2022. The EP pairs Anchor Point with Stevo Atambire’s vocals and Waves & Wavs with Lizwi. His later catalogue includes Waterfall, Mood and Phunky, the last a collaboration with Mike Dunn. Beyond his own recordings, he helps run Deep House Bible, a community platform that supports emerging artists and house music across different countries, with particular attention to the MENA region. Recorded DJ mixes sit alongside the singles in his public catalogue.
