The sound
Ahmet Kilic is a DJ and producer originally from Kardzhali, Bulgaria, whose professional career developed in Izmir after moving to Turkey in 1991. Early DJ work led to a residency at Club Marina, while production later became another part of his musical practice. He founded DJ008 Records and works across several house styles, including deep house and afro house. His catalogue includes We Still Alive, Stumblin’ In, Forever and I Miss You. In January 2024 he released Dieda, a recording built around afro house rhythms. His mixes provide another view of his musical range; in an interview with The Beat, he describes adapting track selection to the atmosphere of the dance floor.
