Aida Arko

About

The sound

Aida Arko is a DJ and producer whose techno combines forceful rhythms with a persistent sense of groove. Growing up in Iran introduced her to Persian musical heritage and underground electronic culture, influences that sit alongside the industrial percussion, drone-like layers and experimental textures in her production. Her work moves between dense, driving passages and more open soundscapes. Her recorded catalogue includes releases on Soma and HEKATE, with titles such as Under You Above The Galvanic Sky and Hard Disco. Studio work runs alongside a substantial practice in recorded mixes and live DJ performance. Appearances documented in her artist biography include Boiler Room with Teletech, RSO Berlin, Fold London and Fabrik Madrid, connecting her production to the physical setting of the club.
