About

The sound

Ajja is a Swiss musician and producer whose work spans psychedelic trance, guitar-based music and other electronic styles. Alongside making music, he works as a label manager, graphic artist, software developer and painter. He performed at Australia’s Outback Eclipse Festival in 2002 before starting his solo project under the Ajja name in 2005. His first psychedelic-trance studio album, Psychogenica, appeared on Syncronize Records in 2007. Tulpa followed on Peak Records in 2012, and the mid-tempo Spira Mirabilis on T.I.P. Records in 2017. His wider catalogue includes Oddular, Chillsome and Acoustic Space Module, alongside the Guitar Therapy live-session archive. Those sessions and his recorded guitar set from Equinox 2021 give another view of his music beyond dancefloor productions, with instrumental performance remaining part of the same broad creative practice.
