About
The sound
Alec Monopoly is a New York street artist and DJ whose visual work and music share a public identity built around the Monopoly Man character. His paintings and installations reinterpret familiar figures from popular culture, while his masked presentation remains a recognisable part of that identity. As a DJ, he works across house and electronic music, alongside a recording catalogue built through collaborations. Money (Can’t Save Us), made with Meduza, appeared on AETERNA Records in 2024. His 2025 releases include Tequila with Diego San Diego on Kontor, Too Much Swag with TECH IT DEEP, and Cold Fresh Air with Solardo on Ultra. These recordings sit alongside the DJ material in his SoundCloud archive, including an Alec Monopoly Sola Radio mix, connecting his studio collaborations with his work behind the decks.
