About
The sound
Alesso is a Swedish DJ and producer from Stockholm whose music connects progressive house with pop songwriting. Working under the name Alesso, Alessandro Lindblad gained attention through remixes and collaborations before releasing Calling (Lose My Mind) with Sebastian Ingrosso and Ryan Tedder. Under Control, made with Calvin Harris and Hurts, followed in 2013. Heroes (We Could Be), featuring Tove Lo, preceded his 2015 debut album Forever, which also included Cool and Tear the Roof Up. His later collaborations span Hailee Steinfeld and Florida Georgia Line on Let Me Go, Zara Larsson on Words, and country singer Nate Smith on I Like It. The Progresso releases and Hypnotize EP sit alongside this vocal-led catalogue. He has also launched BodyHi, an outlet for his continuing work in dance music.
