About
The sound
Always Late is the DJ alias of Athens-based Panos Mavrakis. His musical background grew out of record collecting and the city’s dance floors, with early experiences at LUV, Playground and Terrazza informing his approach to selection. Active as a DJ since 2004, he works across minimal, micro house and tech house, favouring the detail and groove of underground club music.
In 2018 he joined Jonn in the Believe Athens collective and became associated with its parties and a residency at Six D.O.G.S. His experience also includes ADD and Phaex festivals and appearances in Germany, Italy and Mexico. A recorded 2018 Believe set and the mixes shared through his SoundCloud place that club work alongside his public recorded output. The project remains rooted in the Athens scene that shaped his listening and DJ practice.
