About

The sound

Âme is the German duo of Frank Wiedemann and Kristian Beyer, who met in a Karlsruhe record shop in 2000. Their catalogue includes the 2005 track Rej, Asa and their remix of Howling. Alongside Dixon, they established Innervisions, connecting their own productions with a wider label catalogue. Beyer’s DJ performances and Wiedemann’s live electronics offer different ways of presenting the project. Their 2018 album Dream House followed their debut album from 2004. It brought together guests including Matthew Herbert on The Line, Gudrun Gut on Gerne, Planningtorock on Blind Eye and Hans-Joachim Roedelius on Deadlocked. The record expanded their work beyond club tracks into songs and collaborations shaped by voices, instruments and electronic production.
