About
The sound
Ammo Avenue is the house producer and DJ Sebastian Paul, based in Lima, Peru. Punk and hip-hop were part of his early listening before a Tocadisco remix of M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade’s “Body Language” helped draw him toward dance music. He studied and worked in advertising while developing his DJ practice, then gave music his full attention. Early productions explored nu-disco and G-house before his focus settled around house, deep house and tech house. His catalogue includes Serial Chiller on Hot Creations, “Sunshine” on LTF and “How Good” on DFTD, alongside releases for Black Book and Hellbent. His Bandcamp Edit Series offers another outlet for reworking musical influences, while AMMOCAST documents his DJ sets. Bass grooves and detailed percussion run through the records that connect his Lima roots with a wider club audience.
