About
The sound
Amòun:ka, styled AMŌUN:KA, is the Berlin-based DJ duo of Sophie Kahrma and Rex Adams. Their Spanish and Hungarian roots and experience between London and Berlin inform a shared approach to house music. They combine organic grooves, acid-house colour and uplifting electronic textures, building sets around earthy percussion and melodic movement. Their recorded output includes the groove-focused “Get Up and Dance” mix, a live Summer ’25 recording and a back-to-back set with WhoMadeWho’s Tomas Barfod at The Moment Festival in Portugal. Their own YouTube channel also carries a Budapest house set, a Parookaville recording and sessions for aaura music. Rather than separate solo catalogues, these recordings present one joint DJ project, connecting their cultural backgrounds with a range of club and outdoor settings.
