About

The sound

Andrea Lane is a DJ and producer whose work centres on house and tech house. Born in Slovakia, she developed her early career in Hungary, moving to Budapest for formal DJ training after first trying the decks at sixteen. A competition win in 2017 led to a Balaton Sound appearance, and she received an emerging-talent nomination at the following year’s Ballantine’s Music Awards. Her productions extend that background through rhythm-led arrangements and Latin and Afro influences. What Goes Around, made with Hungarian duo Muzzaik, introduced her work to Toolroom Trax before the label released her solo track Gorongosa in 2025. That recording places driving drums, layered percussion and vocal textures at the centre of the arrangement. Her catalogue also includes Por Eso with Zsak, plus Ahora, Take Over and So Good on Golden Recordings, connecting her DJ practice with an expanding body of club-focused releases.
