About
The sound
Andy Daniell is a British DJ, producer and music executive whose career connects club selection with A&R. He joined Defected in 2004, progressing from intern and resident DJ to A&R manager during a first tenure that ended in 2019. His work there included Storm Queen’s Look Right Through and CamelPhat and Elderbrook’s Cola. From 2019 to 2024 he led FFRR within Parlophone, working on releases by Diplo, SIDEPIECE, David Guetta, Bebe Rexha and Kenya Grace, as well as signings including Jengi and Obskür. He subsequently returned to Defected; his current artist profile and 2026 mix release identify him as Vice-President of Music & Creative. Alongside that label work, Daniell has maintained a recorded DJ catalogue and remixes, including his version of Sandy Rivera’s Whatever. His archived radio and club mixes show the house-music selections that underpin both sides of his practice.
