About
The sound
Angel Lee is the DJ and production alias of Anjali, an artist from Leeds whose music draws on house, garage and her Indian heritage. She studied Music Production at Leeds College of Music before completing a master’s degree in Music for the Moving Image at Leeds Beckett University. Her DJ career developed through the Leeds bar circuit, while her studio work combines influences from 1990s house and garage with Indian vocal sounds. Bill’s Groove was selected by Jaguar among the winning entries in Lady of the House’s producer competition, helping introduce her productions to a wider audience. Her releases include The Disco and The Dancefloor on Lady of the House, plus DEVI on HE.SHE.THEY. Her own Bandcamp archive contains original music and edits, and a recorded HE.SHE.THEY. guest mix places DEVI alongside selections by other house producers.
