About
The sound
ANII is the project of Polish-born producer Ania Iwinska, whose musical development took her from Poland to London. She studied production at Point Blank, worked as an engineer at Wired Studios and developed her own studio practice in Shoreditch. Her productions connect darker techno with melodic arrangements and deep-house influences. Kompakt released the Korzenie EP in 2018 and Aniitime in 2019, followed by the launch of her ANIITIME label. Michael Mayer encouraged that independent outlet as a home for a wider range of her music. Her subsequent catalogue includes releases for Afterlife, Drumcode, Fabric Records and Renaissance, while TOO GOOD tO DIE provides another platform for her productions. Recordings such as Work It, JACK and I Bite sit alongside the ANIIWHERE mix series. Her current management and music-store biographies describe a Lisbon base, distinct from the earlier London chapter.
