Argia

About

The sound

Argia is the Madrid DJ and producer Helena Piti. Her early musical education included piano and double bass at the conservatory, before she developed an electronic production practice shaped by melody and deep house. A residency at Mondo Disko connects that work with Madrid's club scene, alongside performances in other European cities. Her recording history includes releases for Atomnation, Stil vor Talent, Sincopat and DUAT, followed by work associated with Kompakt, Innervisions, Crosstown Rebels, Higher Ground, Bedrock and TAU. Soul Grammar and Spirality appeared together on Atomnation in 2022, with their melodic writing reflecting her interest in expressing different emotional states through music. Backgammon, Data Error Data and Come With Me provide further parts of her catalogue, while her Kompakt DJ mix documents the relationship between those productions and her selection. Her channels connect the same Argia identity across recordings, mixes and studio releases.
