Ariel Rodz

About

The sound

Ariel Rodz is an Argentine DJ and producer whose musical background began with a keyboard, followed by guitar and percussion. Early listening centred on dub and reggae before he developed an interest in house and techno around 2000. London's house DJs and Detroit producers helped shape a style that connects bass-led grooves with instrumental and atmospheric detail. His early career included a residency at Pueblo Límite in Villa Gesell and appearances across Argentina's club scene. He helped develop Unique Community, with production work extending that collaborative practice. Releases with Ronan Portela include La Floresta, Rising Energy and Magnetized, while other collaborations involve Alexis Cabrera and Bodeler. His catalogue appears on labels including Mindshake, Deeperfect, Avotre and Bla Bla. The Edits collection with Bodeler revisits Gustavo Cerati recordings, providing a different listening context alongside his original productions and recorded DJ sets.
