About

The sound

Arielle Free is a Scottish DJ, producer and broadcaster whose work connects radio selection with house music production. Early broadcasting at Ministry of Sound Radio preceded her arrival at BBC Radio 1 in 2018, where her programmes include Rave Up. Her DJ career developed across the UK club scene, including venues such as fabric and the Warehouse Project, alongside international performances. Her move into production began in 2022, with a catalogue that includes Feels So Good, Levitate, Hold Me Closer and What You Talking 'Bout. Her production and remix work is associated with labels including Defected, Armada and Realm, as well as her own Free Your Mind imprint. That label presents her releases alongside music by other producers, extending the selection she brings to broadcasting and DJing. Her Bandcamp catalogue includes collaborations with Tristan Henry and BeCharlotte, bringing further vocal perspectives into her house productions.
