About
The sound
Ashibah is a DJ, producer, songwriter and singer whose records bring her own vocal work into electronic dance music. Born in Denmark and raised in Egypt from the age of two, she returned to Denmark at nineteen and developed a musical path that moved from electronic pop towards club production. Her releases span This Never Happened, DFTD, REALM and Anjunabeats, with songs including Make It Better, Keep on Dancing and Get 2 Know Me. In June 2026 she released Human, a thirteen-track debut album on This Never Happened. The project took seven years to develop and draws on melodic house, R&B and indie rock, with themes of love, grief and transformation. Lane 8 joins her on the title track. This combination of songwriting, singing and dancefloor production also informs her work as a performer, which has included appearances at Fabric, Drumsheds, Tomorrowland in Belgium and Brazil, and Lollapalooza São Paulo.
