Barbara Tucker is a Brooklyn-born American house and soul vocalist, songwriter, performer and choreographer whose career grew from New York’s club culture. Her work spans more than four decades and combines powerful singing with writing, stage development, dance and mentorship. She became closely associated with the Underground Network and with the B-Crew, the vocal collective she founded in 1997 with Dajae, Mone and Ultra Naté; the group released “Partay Feeling” on Strictly Rhythm and toured European clubs. Tucker’s recorded catalogue includes the house standards “Beautiful People,” “I Get Lifted,” “Stay Together,” “Jazz It Up,” “Stop Playing with My Mind” and “Most Precious Love,” alongside later material credited to her as a solo artist and presenter. Her collaborations and vocal performances connect her with producers and artists including Lil’ Louie Vega, Tommy Musto, Victor Simonelli, David Guetta, Moby, Cerrone, Blaze and DJ Pierre. Tucker has also developed artists through BStar Music Group, promoted the Underground Network, and used choreography and live performance to strengthen the culture around house music. Her recent catalogue includes the albums I Jus Wanna Love and In the Name of Love, extending a house-vocal legacy rooted in Brooklyn and carried to international stages.
