About

The sound

Ben Klock is a Berlin techno DJ and producer whose career is closely connected to Berghain, where he became a resident in 2005. His DJ work is associated with extended sets that develop over time, building a musical arc across different settings rather than relying on a single fixed sequence. His recordings include the 2009 album One and the Before One EP, which contains Subzero. Klock founded Klockworks in 2006, creating a label that has released music by artists including DVS1, Trevino and Etapp Kyle. His fabric 66 mix appeared in 2012, giving a recorded form to his approach as a selector. Alongside his own productions, his remix work includes material by Depeche Mode, Robert Hood and Kerri Chandler. These activities connect his work in the booth with production, remixing and the development of an independent label catalogue.
