About
The sound
Benwal is the Dutch DJ and producer Gijs van Ringen. He began DJing while studying in Groningen, developing the project with friend and production collaborator Jonathan Kruizenga. His music and selections connect trance, hard house and Eurodance with an interest in energetic 1990s house records. An Ella Ella remix helped establish a connection with MALUGI and Marlon Hoffstadt, and Rush became a release for their Club Heart Broken label. His catalogue also includes Dive, U Need and Just Go, as well as the Check EP with Milion and the Bendi EP with Freddi. Together those recordings show the collaborative side of the project alongside the dance-floor approach that developed through his DJing.
