About

The sound

Bibi Seck is an Antwerp DJ whose sets bring together house, disco, funk and the energy of older dance records. Soul and gospel are important reference points, while UK garage and UK funky add another strand to her selections. Her approach favours warmth and momentum, drawing connections between different periods of club music. She has described a Horst Festival set in September 2021 as a turning point in her confidence as a performer. Her subsequent DJ work has included rooms such as De School, KOKO and Berghain. DJ EZ’s use of CDJs as instruments is among the influences she has identified, reflecting an interest in how technique can reshape a familiar record. Her recorded mixes carry that focus on movement and musical connection beyond the dance floor.
