About
The sound
Blame The Mono is a French-British DJ and production duo based in Berlin. Their sound connects techno, electronica and breakbeat with influences from UK bass music and psytrance, bringing different rhythmic approaches into a shared project. Their release history includes work through Molekul, Taapion and Voxnox, with recordings such as Dubious Scars, Guilt Denied and Sustain The Rigour forming part of the catalogue. Gorgoroth appeared in 2022, followed by Riot Toys in 2023 and Sample and Hold in 2025; the latter includes Mould the Beat. Their activity also extends to edits of other artists' material and recorded DJ sets. A published edit of Underworld's Two Months Off and a 2026 HÖR Berlin recording offer two different examples of that work, separating studio reinterpretation from selection and mixing. The duo performs and releases music under one shared artist identity.
