About
The sound
Blu DeTiger is a New York musician whose work brings together bass playing, songwriting, production and DJing. She began playing bass as a child and developed a performance style that carries the instrument into her DJ sets. Funk, alternative music and dance-pop all inform that approach, connecting the physical groove of a live bassline with the flow of selected records. Her recordings include Figure It Out and Cotton Candy Lemonade, both released in 2020, followed by How Did We Get Here? in 2021. The 2024 album All I Ever Want Is Everything expands the longer-form side of her catalogue. Across these releases and her live work, she moves between the roles of instrumentalist, singer and electronic performer, with bass remaining a central part of her musical identity.
