Bora Uzer

About

The sound

Bora Uzer is a Turkish singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose live performances bring improvised playing into electronic music. His musical training included an invitation to study jazz at the Rotterdam Conservatoire of Music at seventeen. Vocals and melodic writing remain central to a practice that developed across different countries and musical settings. His productions have appeared through Sol Selectas, Diynamic and Renaissance. In 2022, he joined RÜFÜS DU SOL on their US tour, extending the live side of his work. Rather than treating instrumentation as a fixed backing, Uzer uses spontaneous performance to shape the music as it unfolds, connecting his background as a musician with the rhythms of the dancefloor.
