About
The sound
Boris Brejcha is a German DJ and producer associated with the style he calls High-Tech Minimal. His first releases appeared in 2006, and his early performance at Brazil’s Universo Paralello helped establish another recognisable part of his presentation: the joker mask, inspired by the country’s carnival imagery. After releasing music through Autist Records and Harthouse, he founded Fckng Serious in 2015. The label gave him a home for his own productions and an outlet connected to his wider musical circle. His DJ performances centre on his own tracks, making the relationship between studio production and the live set particularly direct. Recorded sets for platforms such as Cercle have brought that approach to audiences beyond the club itself.
