BOSS PRIESTER

About

The sound

BOSS PRIESTER is a Dutch DJ and producer working between minimal, house and techno. His musical development was shaped by Rotterdam’s clubs and by the contrast between heavier techno and more playful, groove-led selections. A background in music and technology feeds a practical studio approach, with hardware helping him commit quickly to ideas and retain the small imperfections that give a track character. His releases have appeared through FUSE London, BaDumTish, X-Kalay and Dungeon Meat. Alongside that catalogue, his own BPDUBS imprint provides a route for independent releases and limited dubplates. Tracks such as Game Over, 890 and DoWhatULove sit within that self-directed output. He performs both DJ sets and live shows. The live format lets him build a performance entirely from his own music, bringing production decisions onto the stage while responding to the room.
