About

The sound

Breakbot is the music project of French producer Thibaut Berland. Before establishing the project, he worked in animation and began making remixes in the mid-2000s, reworking artists including Justice, Metronomy and Digitalism. His music brings together disco, funk and pop, with melody and vocal collaboration playing a central role. Baby I’m Yours, released in 2010 with Irfane, became an early defining recording. The albums By Your Side in 2012 and Still Waters in 2016 developed the project over a longer format through Ed Banger Records.
