About

The sound

Butch is the Mainz-born DJ and producer Bülent Gürler, whose work moves between house and techno. His career spans releases on Running Back, Defected, Rekids, Diynamic, Innervisions and Cuttin’ Headz, reflecting an approach that crosses different corners of club music. Collaboration has been another part of that development, with his professional biography naming work alongside Ricardo Villalobos, Armand van Helden and Cassius. His remix of Duck Sauce’s Falling In Love extends that catalogue into a reinterpretation of the duo’s material. Across production and DJing, he keeps the musical direction open, drawing from a broad house and techno repertoire rather than a single fixed style.
