Caiiro

About

The sound

Caiiro is a South African DJ, producer and remixer whose music connects Afro house with deep, melodic electronic production. Growing up in Mpumalanga, he developed an interest in making music through radio listening and began sharing his productions through house-music blogs, Facebook and YouTube. His album catalogue runs from First Impressions in 2016 and The Future Is Now in 2018 to Agora in 2020, Pyramids in 2022 and the self-titled Caiiro in 2024. Selected recordings include Your Voice, its Adam Port remix, and Ndisize featuring Ami Faku. Away from the studio, he captures melodic ideas on his phone before developing them into arrangements. His DJ sets start with a loose plan, then develop through his response to the crowd.
