About
The sound
Carista is a Utrecht DJ, producer and curator, and the founder of United Identities. She began DJing in 2009 and developed a selection style that moves between genres while keeping a strong connection to soul. Her radio work includes NTS, a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2020 and a six-month residency at the station in 2021. United Identities brings together a label and a club-night platform, with releases that introduce musicians from the Netherlands. Carista's own Aisa's Dream arrived in 2020, while her Modern Intimacy Volume 1 compilation presented a broader selection of Dutch artists. Her work beyond the booth has included shaping RRFM's early musical direction and curating for cultural institutions such as Utrecht's Centraal Museum.
