About
Carl Cox is a London-born DJ, producer, label owner and long-time ambassador for techno. He began on turntables as a teenager, moved through rare groove, hip-hop, electro and early acid house, and became known for energetic three-deck mixing during the UK rave era. His catalogue includes the F.A.C.T. mix, studio albums and work through Intec Records and Intec Digital; he also co-founded Awesome Soundwave for live electronic artists. Cox’s Space Ibiza residency ran for 15 consecutive years from 2001 until the club’s 2016 closure, a defining chapter in island club culture, and his Pure and One Night Stand concepts continue the music-first approach. He remains active as a touring DJ, curator, label head and motorsport enthusiast.
