About
The sound
Carpenter Brut is the electronic music project of French musician Franck Hueso. Beginning in 2012, it developed a synth-driven sound shaped by rock, metal and horror cinema, with three early EPs collected as Trilogy in 2015. Leather Teeth followed in 2018, the Blood Machines soundtrack in 2020 and Leather Terror in 2022. The Leather records build an ongoing fictional world around Bret Halford and his band Leather Patrol, connecting the music's heavy riffs, forceful drums and vocal performances with a narrative inspired by genre cinema. The story is written and composed by Carpenter Brut, while the recordings give it a musical form that also informs the stage presentation. Leather Temple arrived through No Quarter Prod in February 2026, continuing the sequence with tracks including Major Threat, She Rules the Ruins and Neon Requiem. Across EPs, soundtracks and concept records, electronic production and the energy of rock performance remain closely connected.
