About
The sound
Chaos In The CBD are brothers Louis and Ben ‘Beans’ Helliker-Hales, originally from Auckland, New Zealand. Their move to Peckham connected them with a new community of record shops, DJs and producers. Midnight in Peckham, released through Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section, became a central record in that chapter of their work. The brothers founded In Dust We Trust with Jon Sable, building a label around their own productions and shared musical interests. Their debut album A Deeper Life arrived on the label in May 2025, drawing on their New Zealand roots. Although their records often favour a mellow atmosphere, their DJ sets also explore heavier club music, giving the project room to move between listening music and the dance floor.
