About

The sound

Chris Stussy, also billed as Chris Stassy, is a Dutch house DJ and producer and the founder of Up The Stuss. The label began in 2020 as a platform for his own work and recordings by other producers, connecting his activity as a selector with the development of a shared catalogue. His releases include Desire and Wide Awake, while the 2026 album Lost, Found & Forgotten... expands that work into three connected chapters. Lost revisits unfinished ideas from earlier studio sessions, Found centres on creative collaboration, and Forgotten brings together deeper material and tracks familiar from his DJ sets. The album includes Fantasy with KUČKA, Wide Awake with Tom Did It, Moonlight with Elena Moroder and Keepin' Me High with Tropics. Its structure gives different periods and approaches in his production a place within one listening sequence. Alongside his recordings, a 2026 RA Exchange conversation traces the relationship between his early releases, DJ craft and the album's development. His work links the rhythmic language of house with a continuing interest in selection, collaboration and independent release culture.
