About

The sound

Christian AB is a London-born DJ and producer whose record collection connects house, acid and disco. An early introduction to dance music came through his father’s records, and collecting vinyl became central to his approach. His DJ work developed through clubs including fabric and Club der Visionaere, with selections that move between older records and contemporary productions. His recording catalogue includes the Accelerated Growth EP on Nil and To the Moon Part I with Giammarco Orsini on Elephant Moon. He has also released under the CAB92 name, including Family Ties on London in Transmission in 2016. That alias explores a darker direction within the same producer’s work. His debut album The Nu Life LP followed on Ryan Elliott’s Faith Beat label in July 2024. Recorded through a modified 1970s Studer broadcast mixer, it combines modern technology with older studio equipment. Its twelve tracks explore house and techno through dub, acid and hypnotic grooves, with three loops developed specifically for the vinyl edition.
