About

The sound

Cleopatra Fyntanidou is an Athens DJ and radio producer whose work spans electronic music broadcasting, club sets and music supervision. Classical piano lessons from the age of six preceded her studies in audio engineering at SAE Athens and European Civilization at the Hellenic Open University.

Her music supervision has included programmes for Flash 96.1, Athens 98.4, NET, Mega Channel and Star Channel, as well as video art, dance performances and installations. These projects have taken her music selection beyond the DJ booth, into broadcast programmes and works made for visual and performing arts.

From 1999 to 2001, she presented a two-hour electronic music show on Athens station Klik FM 88. She began working with Best 92.6 in 2001, presenting releases from the Greek and international electronic scenes. Alongside broadcasting, she has played clubs, festivals and other music projects in Greece and abroad, including festival sets shared with visiting international DJs.

She also worked in radio promotion within Polygram’s public relations department. A period living in London formed part of her background before her professional work in radio and clubs developed in Athens. Her experience brings together formal music and engineering studies, record-company promotion, daily broadcasting and DJ performance, with music supervision connecting those activities to television and artistic projects.
