About

The sound

Clint Lee is a South African-born DJ and producer whose house music draws on organic percussion and a range of regional rhythms. He learned to play records on South Africa’s East Coast before moving to the UK in his early twenties. Performing at London clubs such as The End, Turnmills, The Cross and Canvas helped shape his early DJ career. A first visit to Ibiza in 2006 marked a change towards warmer, more expansive selections, and by 2008 he was dividing his time between the island and London. His sets bring together African, Latin and Middle Eastern influences within a house framework, using instrumental texture and rhythmic movement to connect different kinds of music. His earlier label work includes Zombie Soundsystem with his brother Shane Watcha. Together they launched Made With Love as a sister imprint, creating a brighter house outlet alongside Zombie’s darker direction.
