Crusy

About

The sound

Crusy is the stage name of Spanish DJ and producer Mikel, whose house music developed from a teenage interest in mixing and production. He began working on both in 2011, at fifteen, and later collaborated with David Penn on a remix in 2020. His productions bring rhythm and melody into a direct club format. A key run of releases followed in 2022: SELECTA arrived on Toolroom Trax, followed by Karma. His collaborations from that period include work with Mark Knight, Low Steppa and Dombresky, with the latter joining him on El Beso. Those records helped establish his place within contemporary house and tech house. His early hard house background helped shape his later approach: he begins with a clear idea for a record and considers how it would work in his own DJ sets. He has also taught Latin House production through Toolroom Academy. His label catalogue extends to Defected, Spinnin Deep, Knee Deep in Sound and Shen. In April 2026 he made his elrow Music debut with Hit Me Now.
