About
The sound
Cuartero is a DJ and producer from Málaga whose sound draws on old-school electronic music. He began producing at fifteen and developed a catalogue built around house grooves, drum programming and vocal detail. Alongside his own music, he has run the Sanity label. His recordings have appeared through Edible, What NxT, Beste Freunde and Hot Creations. In October 2019 he made his Hottrax debut with Balaba, pairing the title track with Come On Closer. The release explores two sides of his production style, combining acid bass and vocal stabs with a deeper, percussion-led groove. He also founded Cuartero Concept, giving his productions another dedicated outlet alongside Sanity. Its catalogue includes Lamine EP with Bodeler, as well as Repit EP and Enderezado EP.
