The sound

Dan Shake is the DJ and producer Daniel Rose-Weir. His 2014 release 3AM Jazz Club / Thinkin’ on Moodymann’s Mahogani Music helped establish his recording career. Subsequent work includes Claudia’s Trip and the Shake Tapes series of white-label edits. House is one part of a musical vocabulary that also takes in acid, funk and Brazilian samba. His production draws new ideas from samples, while his DJing brings those varied influences into the same set.
