About

The sound

Daniel Avery is a British electronic musician and DJ whose recordings move between dancefloor rhythms, ambient space and dense sound design. His debut album Drone Logic appeared on Phantasy in 2013, followed by Song for Alpha in 2018. Illusion of Time, made with Alessandro Cortini, developed through years of touring together, while Love & Light arrived in 2020. His 2022 album Ultra Truth brought together contributions from Ghost Culture, Manni Dee, HAAi, Jonnine Standish, AK Paul and other voices. That year also saw his first live show, presented at festivals including Primavera Sound, Melt, Roskilde and Field Day. His DJ work has included headline and curated programmes at Fabric and The Warehouse Project, alongside support for Nine Inch Nails on their 2018 tour. Tremor followed on Domino in October 2025, with collaborators including Cecile Believe, Ellie Rowsell, bdrmm, Alison Mosshart and yeule. Midnight Versions and a deluxe edition followed in 2026, extending that record’s material through additional versions and remixes.
