About
The sound
Danya is a Greek DJ and producer who moved to Germany in 2021. Her work connects club activity in Hamburg and Kiel with performances in Greece, alongside recordings for Sine Space 7, Blur and Synergie. Dark, hypnotic techno forms a central part of her production work.
She began producing and DJing at local events in Greece before relocating to Germany. Her club connections have included PAL in Hamburg, Bunker Club in Kiel and the 6D event series, as well as appearances at Tresor in Berlin and Rex Club in Paris. These settings form the performance side of a practice that also includes original studio recordings.
Her four-track Sonata EP appeared on Sine Space 7 in 2024, following her debut EP for the label in May 2023. Sonata, Reprise, Underworld and Got Heaven combine solid basslines, synth textures and rhythmic changes. The release appeared digitally and on vinyl, with Soma Records presenting Reprise through its Soma Selects premiere series.
