About
The sound
Daria Kolosova is a Ukrainian techno DJ whose career grew through the underground scenes of Luhansk and Kyiv. Classical piano lessons and an early fascination with The Prodigy preceded her first club performance in 2010. She later became associated with Kyiv's Keller club, where her forceful approach to techno developed alongside the city's independent party culture. Under the Dar:k name she founded Materia with fellow DJ Berchy, creating a platform for their own events. Her musical partnership with Nastia also became an important part of her DJ work, including back-to-back performances at Berlin's Funkhaus and for the NECHTO project. These collaborations sit alongside the individual sound she developed through Kyiv's club circuit.
