DAVID BERRIE

About

The sound

David Berrie is a New York DJ and producer whose musical background spans hip-hop, disco and house. He developed through the city's club scene before focusing his production work on house and techno, also recording earlier material under the dBerrie name. His releases include music on Cuttin' Headz and Play It Say It, alongside a collaboration with Jamie Jones on Hot Creations. These records connect his New York roots with a catalogue made for house and techno dance floors. His Jamie Jones collaboration “Doctor Zouk” appeared on Hot Creations, which also issued his solo release Airplane To Madrid. Hottrax also released Warped Connection. Alongside his studio catalogue, his recorded mixes include a London set from 2023. His What to Do EP brings together This Is, More of That, On My Key and the title track. Later recordings include Thinkaboutit and Sometimes in a Mood for DISTRIKT Sound, extending his catalogue of club productions beyond the earlier Hot Creations and Hottrax releases.
