About
David Triana, also known as Dorado, is a Bogotá-born, London-based DJ, producer and musician whose work connects Colombian musical roots with the exploratory edge of contemporary club culture. He began by playing in bands and later moved toward electronic music, studying in Buenos Aires and developing the Bassment party series across South America. Alongside Tomas Station and Bruno Anthony, he co-founded the Downpitch vinyl label, which issued five releases and helped introduce artists such as Jordan Fields and Alton Miller to a wider audience. Triana’s sound is shaped by classic house, left-field grooves and patient, detailed mixing; his sets and productions favour warmth, rhythmic swing and a sense of discovery rather than a single rigid formula. Since moving to London in 2015, he has played rooms including Fabric, Village Underground, Lion and Lamb, and Brilliant Corners, while continuing to work with artists and collectives around Europe. In 2018 he co-founded Soursopp with Rakim Under, creating a community series for their shared taste and ethos. His radio work has appeared through NTS Radio, Red Light Radio and Worldwide FM, and his own productions have reached labels including Descendant Of The Deep and the Moody label. Across Dorado and David Triana, he brings together a selector’s curiosity, a producer’s patience and a long-standing commitment to independent dance music.
