Deep Dish is the Washington, D.C. duo of Ali Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi, whose partnership helped define a deep, melodic strain of late-1990s and early-2000s house. Their album Junk Science and remixes such as The Future of the Future (Stay Gold) made the name widely recognised, while the Yoshitoshi label extended their work as producers, DJs and curators. The duo’s sets move comfortably between house, techno, jazz-tinged textures and progressive club music.
